Our October run is going full spooky. Same free 5K along the coast, now in costume, with a cold plunge that's frightfully cold.
Runners High Club is Monterey's community 5K on the last Sunday of every month. For October we're dressing up. Come as you are or come as something scary. Every pace and every monster is welcome.
Shake off the stiffness together at Lovers Point before we head out.
Pick a pace group, or take the shorter walking route. Nobody gets left in the graveyard.
An optional icy dip in the bay for the brave. Bring a towel.
Warm up with coffee, show off your costume and meet the crew.
Wear anything you can run or walk in. Capes, ears, face paint and full pumpkin heads all count. Skip anything that blocks your vision or trips you up on the path.
Not the costume type? Orange or black works too, or just show up as you are.
